AS DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM, WE WELCOME ALL OF TODAY’S MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS TO BECOME A PART OF OUR ELITE GROUP. IF YOU RESIDE IN BERNARDSVILLE, BASKING RIDGE, OR ANY OF THE SURROUNDING AREAS, OUR COMMON BOND HAS BEEN THE BATTLEFIELD. WHETHER IT WAS SERVICE IN WORLD WAR II, KOREA, VIETNAM, AFGHANISTAN, THE PERSIAN GULF, THE WAR ON TERRORISM OR ANY QUALIFIED RETIRED SERVICE MEMBER – WE WELCOME YOU TO JOIN US. YOUR COURAGE AND SACRIFICE HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN PRESERVING AND DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY AND THE WORLD. OTHERS ARE ALSO WELCOME TO HELP SUPPORT OUR BRAVE VETERANS, REGARDLESS OF SERVICE.

Mission

The purpose of the VFW shall be fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational: to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead; and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America, and fidelity to its Constitution and laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies.
